Best Horse Racing Handicapping System of 2010

If you have ever bought a horse racing system to handicap horse races or have thought about it

, you would probably like to know which one is the best. If you and I were sitting down and having a chat about horse racing and handicapping, it might be easier for me to answer that question for you. Of course, it would just be my opinion, but that is really what handicapping and betting horses is all about - opinions.

There is an old saying that you shouldn't bet a race you if you don't have an opinion about the race. In other words, if you don't have some ideas about the pace scenario, speed, class of the horses, ability of the riders, then why are you risking real money on that race? That makes sense, doesn't it?

While we're on the subject of handicapping systems, let's clarify which ones we are talking about. First, there are the systems that supposedly automatically pick winners and will make you rich. Does that sound too good to be true? Of course it does and if anyone tries to sell you such a system, he or she is probably not to be trusted. Like they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I am not talking about those "pie in the sky," systems.

I am talking about the other kind of horse racing systems. We will focus our attention on the systems that rate the horses or perhaps find a horse that is ready to win base don good sound handicapping principles and factors. Using one of these methods you can form an opinion about a race and then assign odds to each horse that is how you make money betting horses. It isn't rocket science, but it is hard to do, very hard. Therefore, you really do need the best system.

Which one is the best? In order to answer that I would have to know what kind of person you are, how hard you are willing to work and what your particular characteristics are, because the system should suit your individual strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to finding the right handicapping system, one size does not fit all. Some people prefer to focus on one horse and wait for it to be in a particular situation while others want to look at every race and every horse in it to find value in the pools.

If you find the system that suits your style and you start making money betting on horses, after adapting it to your own personality, then you will truly have found the best handicapping system of 2010 or any other year for that matter.
