Best Things To Do In Denver

Denver, Colorado is the mile high city

Denver, Colorado is the mile high city. To the west you will find the majestic Rockies. This booming city if full of tourist attractions and must see sites.

You will be able to see everything from museums and art galleries to amazing night life attractions. I am going to explain some of my favorite attractions. I have lived in Colorado for four years now and there are some things that you just must see in Denver.

Downtown Aquarium

The Downtown aquarium is a full service restaurant. You will be able to eat a meal while viewing a 150,000 gallon fish tank. This is one of the only fish tanks in the US that allows participants to enter. You can take part in scuba and snorkeling adventures inside the 1.25 million gallons of salt and fresh water habitats.

Denver Microbrew Tour

Are you interested in the history of Denver and of course it's amazing microbreweries? This is the tour for you. You will be guided along a two hour long walk around town. Each microbrewery will have samples ready and one may even give you a pint. You will end up trying more than 10 beers and learning some fun facts about Denver.

Spa at the Brown Palace

You will experience the refreshing and relaxing affects of the natural spring water drawn from their personal wells. There is something for both men and women. There are couples rooms, 6 massage and skin treatment rooms, swish showers and aromatherapy rooms as well as nail and hair salons. This is truly your relaxation stop.

Mount Evans

This is a scenic byway that starts at 8,700 feet at Idaho Springs all the way up to summit at 14,240 feet. As you make this climb the temperature will plunge and wildlife will come out of the woodworks. You will likely see a mountain goat or big horn sheep. Bring a jacket and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The Denver Zoo

This is my children's all time favorite stop in Denver. You will see about 4000 animals (more than 700 varieties). The zoo is laid out beautifully. Take the time to pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic for the best experience.

The Denver Center for Performing Arts

The Denver Center for Performing Arts brings Broadway to Denver. You can see professional theater in the Tony Award winning Denver Center Theater Company offers a wide range of amazing talent in their performances.

Coors Field

Sports enthusiast will love the beautiful Coors Field. You will love the modern and well laid out stadium as you cheer on the Rockies. Coors Field was built in 1995 and named after the Coor's Brewing Company. It is located in gorgeous Lower Downtown (LoDo) and is an impressive scene.

Denver Art Museum

The Art Museum is interesting and amazing. The museum gets it's beginning in 1890 as an Art Club. It has been in numerous places in Denver, but in 2006 they built an expansion just for the museum in the Fredric C Hamilton Building.

Denver truly has something for everyone. While you are checking these amazing sites, make time to stop at the 16th Street Mall and just do some wondering in LoDo!
