The third option will be combination. This breaker uses both characteristics of thermal and magnetic breaker that are very common in home wiring system. Therefore, some appliances such as TV and some other electronic devices will not get damage by any unexpected power surge. Meanwhile, the thermal characteristic will give total protection against overheating that lead the risk of fire.
