The first step you should do to sharpen the blade is by closing the bladed swing arm of the paper cutter. You should hold the swing arm handle firmly in the down position. You should hold it with one hand, while removing the bolt that retains from the arm's hinge side with your adjustable wrench.

Secondly, you should flip the swing arm. Thus, the blade will face upward and the beveled side of the blade will face you. Then, you can slide the frame down into the bench mounted vise.

Thirdly, you should stand, so that you face the swing arm end. Then, you can turn on the "Power" switch of rotary tools and bring it to speed fully.

Fourthly, you should wipe the blade of paper cutter clean with a dry rag. This step is useful for getting rid of any debris from sharpening. You can pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil onto a rag. You should also wipe the blade of cutter for protecting the metal from rust.
