eBay is still the most popular place to sell your items online. There is nothing wrong with this site and it still is a great value when trying to get rid of household items or used things that you don't really want anymore. At times though you will go to list something on eBay and just notice that the item is saturated. You know that since there are so many for sale there that you realistically probably won't sell the item or won't get a good price for it at all. If this happens, there are some alternatives to consider.
Amazon is actually a place that you can sell your used items. There are used item options whenever you are viewing the results for any product on the site. This is good since you can list your items there as well. If you have an account, you will be able to list your used items setting the price that you want for them. These will be on there for months. This is one of the best alternatives to using eBay.
Craigslist is another alternative. The limitation of this site is that it will only be for your local area versus national or international traffic. That's fine though since your item will most likely be unique to the site versus competing with tons like it. Listing here is free and there is quite a bit of traffic meaning you will likely get some responses.
EBid is like eBay except it gets far less traffic on it. It's less likely that you will get your item sold here, but it is an alternative. The big advantage of using this site is that there are not any fees meaning that if it doesn't sell, it's not really a big deal.
Don't forget about local advertising like the paper or regional papers. Many of these will list your items for cheap and will get responses still. Sometimes eBay is not the best place to try to sell your used item. There are many alternatives to consider using instead that could get you a better deal.
