Bill Hionas Says Investors Looking At The Long Term Will Be Delighted With The Performance Of Precio

(1888PressRelease) Savvy investors keep their eyes on the big picture.

MIAMI, FL - Precious metals bullion is a unique financial instrument; however, investors must try to remember to keep focused on the big picture and not to panic over corrections that are the details of the precious metals market.

On a day-to-day basis the market can experience sharp swings and nervous investors may be forgiven for panicking as every new headline throws the market into apparent disarray. However, there is no need for panic. Investors who take a long-term view do not fret over every small loss or gain. Investing in precious metals, gold perhaps in particular, is insurance against an economic meltdown and a hedge against inflation. That is not to say that one cannot make a quick profit in the gold market, of course one can, and clearly does; daily trading, provided it is done with a sound knowledge of the market, can result in profits. Nevertheless, this is not something that every investor wants to do.

If we focus, instead, on the big picture, then we are looking at where the price of gold was a month ago, three months ago, a year ago. Compare that price with the price today. For investors who really want to see the benefits from investing in precious metals, it is worth looking at what each metal cost a year ago, or five or ten years ago.

"No one who diversified into precious metals five or ten years ago will be doing anything but congratulating themselves on how much their portfolio has grown," says Bill Hionas. "Over time, portfolios that contain at least 10% precious metals have consistently outperformed those that do not."

Bill Hionas leads the investment team at Pan American Metals of Miami, located in Miami Beach.
