"Black beauty" is a term often used to describe something mystical

Cultured black pearls are found off the lagoons of French Polynesia. These lagoons produce sea gems from the giant black lipped oysters called Pinctada Margaritifera.

On the other hand, cultured Akoya black sea gems are available in smaller sizes; available in 4mm to 9mm they are a perfect candidate for jewellery crafted for formal occasions. The bigger sea gems are reserved for ornaments which are worn at high profile parties, operas and other social gatherings.

Different types of mollusks produce different sea gems, each with its own set of characteristics. Akoya pearls are produced from the Pinctada Fucata Martensii. China, Japan and Australia are some of the countries which supply these orphic gems to the rest of the world. These sea gems are highly lustrous with excellent refractive properties.

Tahitian sea gems are available in several mesmerizing colors such as green, dark azure or a mixture of many alluring shades. Their exceptional physical attributes make them the most preferred sea gem.
