The 8520 supports up to 10 email accounts including all ISP accounts and includes the BlackBerry Messenger, SMS and IM Messenger systems.

The unit unveils a new optical trackpad allowing quick menu selection with a glide of the finger and one click. It comes with 256 megabytes of internal memory, expandable up to a whopping 32 gigabytes via a microSD card slot, and boasts full Mac compatibility right out of the box. Battery life approaches 408 hours on standby and 4.5 hours on line.

Dedicated buttons on the front panel allow instant access to your audio and video. A mini plug headphone jack is included on the left side of the unit. The play/pause button doubles as a mute button when you are on the phone. It supports all major audio and video formats.

This is a WiFi only device which may disappoint some however there is a large market for this base model, EDGE only, full QWERTY unit. (Your location can be triangulated with Google Maps via cell towers). 3G and HSDPA are available in the Curve 8300 series.
