Bmw X1 Will Be Launched On December 23

December 23, 2010 is set to be the date of the launch of the latest BMW X1 in New Delhi

. The model from BMW is expected to be up for the consuming public at a price range of Rs 25 to Rs 30 lakh. This groovy and competitively priced compact SUV BMW X1 is going to enter the Indian car market by the end of the year. True to the expectations of many car enthusiasts, the compact SUV BMW X1 is going to take the 1.8 petrol and 2.0 petrol power train in CKD (completely knocked down) unit which will be assembled in the companys Chennai production facility. The all new SUV is based on the platform of the BMW 3 Series saloon which is manufactured as well in the Chennai plant of the company. Although things are not yet official, industry sources say that the SUV is likely to be manufactured in India even if this is not going to happen in the nearest time yet.

The launch of an all new BMW X1 is all set to take place on 23rd December, 2010 in New Delhi. The model from BMW is expected to come in a price range of Rs 25 to Rs 30 lakh. The groovy and competitively priced compact SUV BMW X1, is entering the Indian auto market by the end of this year. As expected, the compact SUV, BMW X1 will be launched in 1.8 petrol and 2.0 diesel powertrian in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit which will be assembled in the company's Chennai production facility. The all new SUV is based on the platform of BMW 3 Series saloon which is manufactured at the company's plant in Chennai. It is not official though, but as per the industry sources, the SUV is likely to be manufactured in the India, though not in the near future.

The SUV in the Indian auto market will come in rear-wheel drive which greatly helped the German automobile manufacturer to price the SUV against tight competitors. The BMW X1 is coming in two variants namely, BMW X1 Highline and BMW X1 Corporate Edition.
