Bodrum resort in south east coast of Turkey is a fantastic destination for summer holidays. Situated 30 minutes to Milas Airport, this small but popular offers some great sightseeing oppurtunities.

Bodrum in winter has only 30000 habitants, this number reaches half a million people by mid july. Bodrum resort has 12 sub resorts, some of them are Gumbet, Yalikavak, Gumusluk, Turgutreis and Bitez.

While on holiday in Bodrum resort, tourists enjoy days out like scuba diving, boat trips, ephesus - ancient roman city, pamukklae - the cotton castles, village tours, jeep safaris and much more. My favourite has alywas been the scuba diving. Some parts of Bodrum peninsula, you get an amazing 25 meters visibilaty under the sea- beautiful crystal clear waters.

You can expect to get some cheap deals to Bodrum resort in the beginning of season and also at the end of season. Many european travel agencies offer package holidays to Bodrum during the summer months. Just look out for last minute deals from tour operators and you could save upto 40% on your holiday.

All types of accommodation is available in Bodrum resort, all inclusive, bed and breakfast, half board, holiday villages, boutique hotels, villas, five star hotels.

Transport around resort is very cheap and easy. Dolmus - the local minibus service provides reliable and cheap transport facility throughout the peninsula. You can also use taxis which are commonly available in each resort.

Overall, Bodrum resort is one of my favourite destinations in the south of Turkey and I definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for somewhere new for next summer.
