Do you want to stop smoking cigarettes? Thousands of cigarette smokers will answer "yes, of course" to this question and some will basically seek out a solution to apply it. Some others will jump right into it ("I'm gonna go cold turkey"), quit for 2 or 3 days, and then explode when the cravings overcome them (I've been there and I am aware of.)
Or how about the one day hypnotherapy programs? I see these promoted regularly so they either do the trick or they're making lots of money for the hypnotherapists.
I'm a 69 year old (really) guy. I started smoking when I was teen. I succeeded to quit a number of periods during this process, though for the most part I has been a regular cigarette smoker all those years. One pack per day, standard as clockwork. First thing each morning, jump from bed, stick a ciggie in my mouth. It was part of my regular habit, and the belief of being without having tobacco panicked myself, which means that though I knew I needed to stop smoking, I held on to putting it off. Does any of this sound familiarized?
I knew most of the causes, and I'm absolutely sure you do too: nasty ciggie cough, stinky automobile, stinky clothing, estimated at $1800 a year up in fumes. And even though I knew all that, it never turned out to be sufficient to make me in actual fact quit smoking.
Basically I lastly discovered the answer in a book labeled as "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by a person named Allen Carr. I study all the positive feedback (there are now over 600), and even if I was still suspicious I purchased the book. As soon as it came I leafed through a few pages and promptly put it on the shelf. I ignored the book for a entire year while my cigarette cough continued to get worse.
One full year later on , I finally gave in and I began reading through the book. I study a few of chapters every evening. I continued to smoke as I read the book (the guide tells you to do it that way). After a few weeks of using this routine I simply quitted.
I'm not a psychiatrist and I can not begin to let you know why this book is so powerful, but it is.
It's now been a year and three months after I given up smoking and to this day I'm fascinated at how easy it was and how well it functioned.
So do you think you're in a position to stop smoking?
