AS level revision is key to passing your AS exams

. There are plenty of ways in which can help you when it comes to making revision more interesting and fun. AS level revision doesnt have to be sitting at a desk and reading a textbook for three hours straight and hoping the material sinks in.

To make yourself AS level revision easier, create a revision timetable. If you have a schedule to follow, you will find yourself more obliged to get your work down. Just make sure you space it out each topic so you dont lose interest too quickly. Organisation is an important part in revision.

If you are feeling really creative, you can create posters with important information so that when you are looking around your room you can spot these key points and they will stick in your head. Remember to keep the information simple so that its easy to remember. If you arent feeling creative enough to make posters, why dont you just get some post-it notes and stick them around, again with the key points that you need to remember.

Another proved method to help with revision is by revising with friends. If you can make a study group or session with a few friends from your lesson, you will be able to work on everyones strengths and weaknesses. The only problem is that you may get distracted, so try and find a quiet area without any computers, televisions or phones.

Practicing with previous exam papers or mock papers is a great way of learning the marking system and looking at the type of questions you will be expected to answer. If you can, try and get hold of previous papers and take the test at home in exam conditions. After you have completed it, get someone to mark it for you and check where your mistakes are and use this knowledge to help you improve. When you know what you need to work on itll help you pinpoint what areas you need to revise.
