However, both of these are very important for the protection of ones eyes. The contacts may be advantageous over the glass specs, but people, who have problems in using contacts, can easily use a spectacle. The eye glasses provide almost the same protection to the eyes as that of the contacts.

Few advantages that the contact lenses have over the glass specs are the usage of the lenses and fashion purpose, some of which can easily be ignored. Eye glasses are old fashioned; still they are used by millions of people. Contact lenses are mainly used by the teenagers as they get both protection of their eyes and can use it for fashion purpose. The colored contacts are mainly used for these purposes. The colored lenses are generally of three types, the opaque contact lens, transparent lenses and the tinted contact lens. Each of these lenses are used extensively all over the world. The opaque colored contact lenses have color of their own and they are used to change of the color of the human eyes completely. The transparent lenses do not have any color of their own; they are used to enhance the original color of a persons eyes. The tinted lenses do not play any role in fashion, in these lenses a blue or green tint is used so that people do not have to face any problem searching them.

Contact lenses used for the medical purpose are of various types and all of them are available in plenty in the market. The lenses used nowadays, fulfill all the requirements of the human eyes that the eye glasses used to provide previously. Eye glasses were pretty uncomfortable for some types of visionary problems, like people suffering from both myopia and presbyopia had to use eye spectacles consisting of two different glasses; one on the upper part and another below it separated by a thick line. The bifocal contact lenses have solved that problem to a large extent.

From these it can be easily concluded that the contact lenses are better than the glass specs in every aspect. Moreover, the lenses are available in plenty in the market and that also at reasonable price. Many well known lens manufacturing companies have grown up and they provide excellent quality contact lenses. They have helped the common people as well as the medical sector to a large extent.
