A BPO services hub is not just another industry added to the belt. Its a ticket for many economies to that promised land of the haves. The BPO service sector has pumped oxygen into many dying economies, reviving them beyond recognition. For example, countries like Kenya have discovered a whole new way of life with the money that they have made in the answering service business. The same can be said of more affluent countries like India. The change has been no less significant here.

After solving the equation as to how a BPO hub can change and turn things around, ruling governments have decided to use this leverage more optimally. The cities are more or less saturated with call centers. Its now time to look inwards. Its now time to make inroads into the suburban and rural areas to redress the income graph there. A call center means money for the employees that no other industry can afford to pay. For those rural youths who could never dream of having cash to spend, jobs at the BPO services means plenty of disposable money. The cash-rich BPO service industry is known to offer a monetary relief that none can compete with. With the government initiatives to decentralize the business process outsourcing units, the rural areas are set to be cash-happy, too.

The governments of many developing countries and cities have blueprints to help them take the BPO to the heartlands. Their aim is to use the Midas touch of the call center industry to improve the economic conditions of these areas. The government is willing to invest money to build infrastructure. They are careful about getting proper roads and telecommunication networks installed. Administrations in cities like Cape Town are setting up optical fiber networks over large expanses to facilitate the answering service industry. Its a thing of great advantage for the governments when they have the business outsourcing industry helping the administrators share the burden of unemployment and job generation. With an answering service unit up, creating jobs is not really a problem anymore.

Decentralizing BPO jobs would mean employment for the educated chunks of the rural population. It also means an influx of talent in the telemarketing divisions. The rural areas have produced considerable amount of competitive professionals in the past. They just need a little training and hand-holding in the call center services. Once they pick up the tricks of the trade, they can make the city professionals run for their money! It was just the lack of opportunities that was holding them back. With business process outsourcing units coming to town, they have that break that they were looking for.
