Received this Braun coffee maker on a Friday afternoon, made a pretty good pot of coffee on Saturday morning, then found it DEAD on Sunday - no lights, no display, no reason. One (6 cup) pot of coffee for the cost of the coffee maker plus S&H and that comes out to about $14 a cup of coffee. The coffee was pretty good but not that good.
I bought this Braun coffee maker (Czech made if anyone cares) only because my previous Braun, of only a disappointing 3 years of use, stopped working suddenly and I didn't want to waste the dozen or so Braun water filters I had stockpiled. I've got some real doubts now about Braun coffee makers and although I'll lose the money on the cost of the Braun water filters I won't be using, I'll consider a different brand. Heck, I might just use the 4 cup Mr. Coffee maker I use in my RV...it's not too fancy but it's fast, reliable, and makes a darn good cup of coffee.
I'll be checking with DiscountJungle and Braun to see what can be done to replace this coffee maker. I'll update my review, hopefully with a cheery, uplifting, all's-well-with-the-world report. Yeah, right.

Braun coffee pot
So glad we could find this on Amazon as we had been to several stores and could not find it. Hoep this does not mean that Braun is not making them any more. LOVE it, and it is exactly like our old one that finally died after many years of use and at least 2 pots per day.
Braun KF580
The machine is a good looking design and has all the functions for normal use conveniently. Though I prefer my coffee very hot, the KF580 does not make coffee hot enough for me.
Great tast poorly designed
I really love Braun and was excited to get this. I wasnt disappointed to get the same great flavor that I had with my old unit. Yet the design of the carafe sucks. It leaks virtually every time I pour no matter what. I have resort to pouring it into a thermal carafe, which I prefer anyway. I just pour it over the sink and who cares if it leaks. I have come to live with it. But it is ridiculous that such a thing was made. Dont tell me that it tested in the factory without spilling. The previous model didnt spill. Just like an idiot to change a good thing.
Great pot of coffee!
This particular Braun coffee maker, for its price, brews the best pot of drip grind coffee. It's fast, and by the time you've puttered around the kitchen, it's done and waiting for you to pour a cup and relax.
The design is functional, and the appearance is uncluttered and compact. The product was ordered from Amazon (best price), and was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition.
I was disappointed.
I was not satisfied with the quality of the Braun. I've been a devout Braun user for 25 years.
When the box arrived with 2 purchased Braun coffee makers the carton was wet and had soaked through to the product boxes.
I wish I could return them and find two Brauns of an earlier model manufactured in the 1990's.
