The United States used these implants primarily because of the health concerns at the time with utilizing silicone based products within the human body.

Also during the 1960's silicone implants were created and manufactured. In 1962 the first procedure using silicone implants took place. Silicone implants also have a extensive list of generational adaptations and improvements. Now in modern society silicone breast implants are one of the more commonly used materials for breast enhancement.
