Every female should be placed in a separate cage, but connected with a tunnel that connects all cages and with a passage to the maile chinchilla.

Chinchillas hygiene

For chinchillas hygiene there is a sawdust made of soft and dry wood which should be placed in a special container inside every cage. It is necessary to clean their cages only once per week, and that's the reason why chinchillas are easy to keep.

Everyday care includes bathing in a special dust for chinchillas. That dust gets into their fur and absorbs oil and dirt. The result is clean chinchilla.

Room temperature

The most pleasant and perfect air temperature to breed chinchillas is somewhere between 16 and 20 degrees in celsius. The main thing are a transparent room and very good air circulation.

So, breeding chinchillas is not expensive and demands only little space and time.
