After seeing many young Cambodians grappling with the harsh realities of living without their parents, she moved to create the Australia Cambodia Foundation, which today manages the Sunrise Childrens Villages in Phnom Penh and Angkor.

Through the loving care and nurturing that the children receive at the village their vistas are now wide open and they face life with renewed optimism, in stark contrast to their grim existence prior to entering the village. There are many success stories to be heard of when you visit the Sunrise Angkor Childrens Village, as some of the children have gone to successful careers in hospitality, marketing, information technology, architecture and insurance.

Despite all the good work that has been going at the Sunrise Childrens Villages, there will always be the need to do more for the children of Cambodia.
