Sport is a big part of Brisbane's culture, and there is no bigger event than going to the football at Suncorp Stadium. By football, Brisbanians mean rugby league or rugby union, but soccer is growing in popularity, albeit it slowly. Cricket is another big player in the sporting scene of Brisbane. International and domestic cricket leagues are held at the Gabba when the Queensland Bulls Cricket Team and Australian Cricket Team play some of their games.
Festivals play a major part for the tourism industry. Throughout the year, there are several important events, including the St George International Film Festival and Brisbane Festival.
