A candidate has to pass the examination conducted by DGCA in ground subjects and have a minimum of 40 flying hours to get this license.
SPL - Student Pilots License: Students need to qualify for the DGCA prescribed SPL through a test conducted by the Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) of the institute on behalf of DGCA. The SPL authorizes students to initiate their flying training course and on their completion of the stipulated qualifying criteria, students are then eligible to secure a Private Pilot License (PPL) and / or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
FRTOL - Flight Radio Telephone Operator's License: This is the mandatory DGCA prescribed qualifying to be taken issued along with the SPL through a qualifying written and oral examination in communicational regulations and procedures.
Radio Telephony Restricted Aeronautical RTR (A): It is an examination conducted by WPC (Wireless Planning and coordination) wing of Ministry of Communication at Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Ground Classes: The course begins with an orientation of ground based requirements and regulations of the DGCA. This involves the mandatory study of DGCA approved theory and practice through a certifying academic examination. In this regards, a thorough familiarization of the pre-flying theory sessions gain importance by considerably reducing the overall training time.
