Building a Bra-drobe; Different Bras for Different Days
Many women find one style of bra that suits them and then never try anything different. Whilst it's great to discover a style that you like it's important to realise that you can achieve many different looks by wearing different styles of bra and that a single style simply won't work for everything. Without a bit of variety in your underwear drawer you'll not only limit your fashion choices but you won't get the best possible effect from your clothes. Wearing the most appropriate bra can really lift an outfit!
Here are some of the different bras you can choose to achieve different looks.
Moulded cup bra
As the name suggests, the cups on a moulded bra are made from a single piece of foam-like fabric, which means there are no seams or ridges. Also known as smooth, seam-free or T-shirt bras, they give a lovely rounded, clean silhouette making them the perfect partner for close fitting tops such as stretchy vests and T-shirts. If you have a big bust and shy away from this style of bra because you think it will make your bust look even bigger then you may be pleasantly surprised when you try one on. You'll find that despite the slightly thicker cups, the more rigid structure really holds your bust in and up and may even make it appear smaller.
Plunge bra
Whereas a moulded cup style is the perfect choice for everyday, a plunge style is something best saved for more special occasions. Choose a plunge bra when you're wearing low-necked tops or dresses, particularly V-necks and want to show off your cleavage. Plunge styles aren't just cut low at the front; because of the way they are constructed they tend to push your breasts together as well, giving you very sexy cleavage. Many plunge styles are also push-up bras, lifting the bust up as well as pushing the breasts together. These styles are great for glamorous nights out.
Minimiser bra
Sometimes wearing very fitted or non-stretchy clothing can be difficult if you have a big bust because it's simple not cut to allow for a fuller chest. In this situation, a minimiser bra can help. These are shaped to pull your breasts in towards your body, redistributing the breast tissue for a slightly flatter silhouette. If you struggle with button-down shirts and tailored jackets then a minimiser bra can be a really helpful addition to your underwear drawer, and you'll find that they're still completely comfortable to wear.
