First off you have to work hard. I know that sounds silly but a lot of people don't when they work out. Lots of people just go through the motions of working out, break a bit of a sweat and figure they're gonna get ripped. Sorry but it doesn't work like that. No matter what your workout consists of you have to keep it intense. An intense 30 minute workout will get you way better results and in quicker fashion than an hour and a half workout where you're just going through the motions. Intensity is key!

Next are eating habits. Eating is so crucial to you achieving the results you want it can't be overlooked. It gives you energy to get through your workouts and your day. And when you eat right it helps you burn fat believe it or not. If you eat 6 small meals a day, healthy ones, you keep your metabolism going and are more prone to burn fat. I'm not going to get into what you should eat, there are plenty of resources on the internet for that. But a key to remember is to eat more smaller meals in a day to keep your machine running. Listen to your body and feed it, but don't stuff it.

And one more point I'd like to cover is one that a lot of people struggle with when they get the idea of getting ripped. You cannot just do cardio to get ripped. You need to have muscle. It's simple really when you think about it. How will you ever look like an anatomy chart if you have no muscle to rip? You need to build the muscle to get it to show up when you're lean. So many people just focus on cardio, and that's fine if you want to get lean and get in good cardiovascular condition. It's great for your heart and well being. But when people think about getting lean they automatically think about being ripped. They're two totally different things. You need muscle to have great definition. So focus on both to get the results you want. And besides. Muscle burns fat. So the more muscle you have, the better your chances are of burning fat quickly.
