There can be many reasons why you may want to have a copy of your favorite games, but burning games for your Xbox 360 is really not that difficult if you know how to do it.
Here is a quick overview for you so you can start burning and backing up your entire game collection.
One of the biggest problems with today's DVDs the games gets stored is that they are very vulnerable to scratches, sunlight and whatever you may spill on them. Even the game console it selves can actually ruin your favorite games and there is nothing you can do about, the game is lost forever including the money you spend on the game because there is no money back guarantee.
As a solution you could consider to modify your Xbox 360 and that way be able to create backups, but that is not a long term solution either because you are putting yourself in a great risk of getting banned from Xbox Live so you cannot play online anymore.
The only solution to the problem is to use special game burning software that is able to create an exact 1:1 image of the original game including any copy protect code there might be on the disc.
You just have to be sure that you are using the right DVD format to burn the game on.
Here is the procedure how to create an exact copy:
1. Install the game burning application on your computer and reboot
2. Load your favorite console games into the DVD drive on your computer
3. Start creating images of your favorite games and store them on your computer
4. Insert an empty DVD be sure it is the right format according to your console, like Blue Disc for Ps3 or DVD9 for Xbox 360
5. Use the game burning function in the software application to create as many copies you may want
Now you just need to be a little patience and perhaps wait a while depending on the size of the game you are burning.
After the burning process you store the original DVD on a safe place and use the backup version to play with and when it wears out you take the original and start building a new image.
