Common Law Admission Test is the common entrance exam conducted by the different national law universities for the admission into the LLB / LLM (Undergraduate and Post Graduate Law courses. Common Law Admission entrance exam is a common entrance exam for admission into 11 different national law universities. Students can get admission into different Law Universities through this common law admission test after 12th class for more than 1000 seats in various law universities.
In different parts of the country there are 12 national law schools. Students willing to pursue a career in law join these collages from all over India. The seven national law universities signed a memorandum of understanding for CLAT. These universities are NLIU, WBNUJS, NLSIU, NALSAR, HNLU, GNLU, and NLU. Chankya National Law University, located in Patna, is a reputed collage for Law education in India. It takes candidates for its BA LLB Program on the basis of performance in the CLAT. Students can apply for Chanakya National Law University while giving CLAT exam. The total number of seats is 80 in its BA LLB programs.
Students who want to take admission should clear 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved candidates). They should be under 20 years of age except reserved category during their admission. Student seeking admission to its Post Graduate courses should have passed B.A. LLB or LLB with minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for the admission. Common Law Admission Test 2011 is scheduled on the 15th of May 2011 and CLAT 2011date of Results will be announced on the 28th of May 2011 according to the CLAT 2011 notification and CLAT calendar.
