CVS and its symptoms
People who often use computers may suffer from some computer-related vision problems, called CVS, or Computer Vision Syndrome. It can cause some vision discomfort or irritation and the symptoms will not disappear if people continue to use computers.
On the whole people may suffer from great eye strain, eye dryness, vision blurriness, headache or some physical discomfort and pain. Though this problem is caused by over use of computers, there are more specific reasons.
It is found that improper working condition will also lead to CVS. For example, people's eyes will suffer a lot if they work in dim light or work around glares. Improper posture while working can also lead to this problem.
People may easily have their eyes strained before computers, due to the unique system of lighting. And the result is- most of them have suffered from computer-related vision problems to some extent. In most cases, all these symptoms are temporary and will disappear quickly if computers are not used. But there are still some exceptions- some people also suffer from serious vision blurriness or discomfort after stopping using computers.
Generally, people with certain vision errors may suffer more if they still over use computers. Their original symptoms will be worsened. And they suffer from greater pain and discomfort.
In fact, CVS can be prevented if proper measures are taken. For example, it is a good idea to adjust the position of chair and monitor, to reduce the harm of improper lighting and glare, etc.
