It's a nice gesture for sure. Cadillac has announced it will offer free maintenance on 2011 models. This may be an effort not just to increase customer service, but to compete with Lincoln, which has a similar program. Regardless, you can schedule your Cadillac tune up from Ft. Myers dealers and keep your vehicle in optimum condition.

How exactly will this program work? Well, named the Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance plan, it will not include brake or other areas of the car considered "normal wear and tear." What it will include are scheduled oil changes, engine and cabin air filters, tire rotation and regular inspection.

Cadillac supposedly did not include normal wear and tear because there is such a diversity of needs among different vehicles that it would not level out well for all customers. The Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance plan will be good for any vehicle sold from now through September 7 and will be in effect for three years or 45,000 miles.

Used Cadillac Ft. Myers customers may not get the same free deal as new car buyers, but they can certainly depend on their dealer for friendly, quality service and feel welcome to call for an appointment any time. New and used car dealers appreciate customers who keep a regular maintenance schedule and take good care of their vehicles.

It would be interesting to know. I wish the company that makes my computer would offer such a deal.

BMW has a similar program and says that it does get the customers to come in on a regular basis. And why not? Free maintenance is not something anyone at any earning level would want to turn down in today's economy.
