California Home Guard is Back

July 21, 2010 -- California Home Guard, a once prominent group in the early parts of the 1900's, is back and those that run it are looking to clean up the America political system. The California Home Guard - founded in 1917 and recently revitalized in 2010 - challenges all candidates for elected public office to sign an affidavit promising to honor their respective oaths of office. In this time of uncertainty, this collaboration of men have decided that they would take a stand and bring back part of American History.

Recent history shows that a majority of candidates, after having sworn a particular oath of office to confirm their appointment, have blatantly and willfully betrayed their promise to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The numbers are staggering. More than two thirds of those surveyed by the best-known pollsters are distrustful of, and feel betrayed by the elected representatives of all political persuasions. This is a problem that the newly revitalized California Home Guard is going to attempt to solve through a grassroots movement, nationwide.

"It is disturbing that public opinion has been ignored by a majority in the House of

Representatives and the Senate. It is further disturbing that public interest has been sold out to special interests." says founder David Brown.

With the Constitution and public opinion being ignored, a severe lack of trust has developed and continues to grow with regards to honest representation in Congress. Consequently, the California Home Guard, as a constructive move to build confidence in, and assurance of honest, trustworthy representation, invite a solution. The signing of an affidavit to protect the rights of the people that have voted for each politician.

Brown goes on to say, "Because of that most egregious and dishonorable breach of the public trust, it is necessary to reinforce that sacred oath with a legally binding signed document. Trust, once abandoned, can never be recovered."
