California Regional Centers fall under regional care facilities. These facilities help two different types or groups of adults. These adults have different levels of care provided by the facilities.

Residential care facilities have their consumers full time all day. These consumers live at the facility for various health reasons. These individuals may not have any one else to care for them.

Another reason many use residential care facilities is the skill. Many families may not have the skills necessary to care for one. Residential care facilities provide a safe place for adults to live.

California Regional Centers include residential care facilities. Some facilities provide care during the day and the patient goes home. At times this does not workso residential care facilities are needed.

Many companies provide a lot of information about these facilities. Some even provide courses to help one become certified as an employee. This certification is necessary to work in long term care facilities.
