California Travel Information-history And Special Allure

The great state of California seems to have seen it all

. From the madness of gold rush fever, to the heydays of Hollywood, to the current financial wizardry of Silicone Valley, this state has been through the gamut. The landscapes have that same sort of madcap diversity, too, and all crammed into to one place. The California travel information for the tourist is varied, but you would do well to be prepared for that variation here

From north to south, this state has more things to see and do than you can ever accomplish in a lifetime. For ease of discussion let us begin at the southernmost regions. Here you have the Mexico border and the great fun that goes along that line. Crossing the border is simple and easy, and Mexico is fantastic for shopping and partying, to name two of the e most popular activities to do with our southern friends.

And speaking of beaches, the entire coast is packed with public ones, and these are some very famous hangouts, too. To begin there is Dana Point, near San Juan Capistrano with the famous swallows, Long Beach where surfing was supposedly invented, Venice with its carnival like street life, all the way up to Carmel, which was famously governed once by a very popular actor. A very popular actor governs the state, and this can only happen here!

And smack dab in the center of the southern areas is the penultimate stop for many, Disneyland. This is the place that Walt dreamed up so many years ago, and it is still perfect for family fun days and nights. The rides and attractions will thrill you, and every child wants to meet Mickey, or Pluto, or to see the castle where Snow White lives. This is a magic kingdom indeed. The area also offers Six Flags just north of LA, too.

Hollywood, too, is a great tourist magnet. You can go visit the town where so many of your favorite films and television shows are produced. A walk along the Walk of Stars is practically required, as is a cup of coffee on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. This is a fun place to simply stroll the streets and soak up the atmosphere.

As you head closer to the state capitol of Sacramento you will notice that the scenery begins to change dramatically. If you are interested in San Francisco and the bay area, be sure to take the iconic drive up highway number one. The views are truly spectacular, and unlike anything anywhere else. Carmel is become famous, as are many other scenic byways along that route.

In the furthest northern regions you will enter into the redwood country. This is where some of the largest trees in the world grow, and they are truly amazing to see. Some areas are almost like rain forest, and the greenery will pop your eyes out. Northern California is like an entirely different state than the southern end, and it makes for a fascinating journey.

No matter what you like, the deserts, the mountains, the country or the city, this state has it all. Amazingly, all of these various regions are within a day or so driving distance from each other. In some places you can go from a snowy mountaintop to the beach in two hours. The California travel information that you need to know is that this is truly a diverse region.
