, the cameras and camcorders are the toughest ones. This is because the specs are a bit murky and hence you have to spend a lot of time in testing them. As a reviewer, I have to research a lot before I write the Digital Camcorder Reviews. As a reader it looks very simple to you but it takes me at least 3-4 days to write compose a review. Over the past few years, I have written plenty of cameras and camcorders in my labs and I am mentioning a few here. Nikon D3000 review This is an entry level dSLR so don't expect any high end feature set. It is still good if you are moving up from a point and shoot camera. While writing the Nikon D3000 review I felt that the manufacturer had compromised too much on the features in order to get the keep the price low. There is no exposure bracket and it is something you will find in every point and shoot camera. On the bright side, I liked the user friendly Guide mode for which walks you through the different types of shooting scenarios. This is made especially for newbie's or for people who don't know much about these cameras. For picture quality, I would say that this device isn't the best but the photos don't look that bad either. Amongst other entry level dSLRs, I would saw that this quality is the best. In my Nikon D3000 review; I said that this camera is a bit slower than other SLRs in the competition. The auto focus system is improved which is really good. Photos are usable up to ISO 1600 but I won't recommend you to go that high. If you are like taking a lot of videos, I would recommend you to take a look at Canon Vixia HF S21 camcorder. This is one of three models offered by this company and they differ only by memory storage type. This is the highest end model amongst the three and it has a EVF. The key specs are the same as the predecessor. You have a 10x zoom lens and eight mega pixel sensor. This camcorder is not that big and will easily fit in to your jacket pocket. Each model has a small set of rubberized bumpers in front of the zoom switch. They give you a better grip. There are two slots for memory cards but I think the manufacturer has put that here to excuse the lack of SDXC card support. The video quality, by default is the second worst option on the Canon Vixia HF S21 camcorder. So make sure you tweak the settings up in order to get a good quality video. I am more concerned about newbie's, they might not know about this and may keep using the camcorder in this setting thinking that it is all the camcorder has to offer. The video quality is really good; it is better than what you get on the competition.
