Campsites In Cornwall Offer Recession Hit Consumers A Value For Money Annual Holiday

A recent survey asked consumers what they would be most willing to give up in these times of recession and cut backs

. Holidays were certainly not one of these things, in fact the annual holiday wins through every time.

Consumers will certainly give up new smartphones, laptops, meals out and home improvements but not their annual holiday, a holiday is regarded as a necessity to take minds off the misery of the doom and gloom currently invading the UK.

The figures shown in this survey were very interesting with a huge 37% of Brits sticking with their holidays and 20% wanting to continue eating out, electronic gadgets and home improvements were a low percentage in comparison.

In tough economic times we all have to think of ways in which we can tighten our belts, but holidays are the least popular choice for the chop, in fact for many it is something they cannot live without.

The survey showed a more worrying side in terms of travel insurance when they go abroad, and there many who are not taking out this insurance when they travel abroad, they are of the mindset mistakenly, that the Government will cover their medical costs if something goes wrong when they are away.

There are some things the British Embassy or Consulate can do for Brits abroad but cannot pay hospital bills or fly them home if they run out of holiday money, holidaying at home there is no threat of these things happening and this is probable why the great British public are now opting to take their holidays in the UK.

It is a fact they do not want to give up their holiday in hard times, and all the added agro of travel especially with young children, air fares going up, and certainly hit the tourist hard when these fares are put up at holiday times, such as Easter, Christmas and in the height of the holiday season, and it would seem that the British holidaymaker is far better off staying in the UK.

Every holiday maker is looking for safe and secure accommodation as the key element in a holiday, and they certainly get this when staying on a holiday park in the UK, in fact Devon and Cornwall have long since been a very popular destination to take a break, and some of the finest parks are Cornwall caravan parks, or a Devon caravan park.
