The Can-Am Commander is a new side-by-side that is offered by BRP for the 2011 model year. It features two different engines, a 71 horsepower Rotax 800 EFI and an 83 horsepower Rotax 1000 EFI. The Commander 800 series comes in two different models, and the Commander 1000 series is offered in three different models. Prices start as low as $11,699, and is poised to be a great competitor to many of the side-by-sides that are offered from Yamaha, Polaris, and Kawasaki.

BRP realizes that people have different uses for their Commander, which is why they offer a full selection of accessories to match any riding style. Fifty accessories are available at launch, focusing on the most anticipated needs. BRP also included third party accessory designers in the development. This allows for other parts to be seamlessly integrated into any Can-Am Commander parts. All parts will fit together perfectly and give a customized, rather than an added on look.

Can-Am Commander windshields will be available with the launch of the vehicle. They will be offered in three different models, depending on whether they will be used for light recreational use, or for more serious off road usage. Windshields are offered in either half or full size, perfect for warm days or cool nights. They are easy to install and remove, as a single person can remove the windshield in less than two minutes.

BRP also offers a full line of auxiliary lighting. Choices include LED, halogen, and HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps, all with the necessary parts for quick and easy installation. There are several different lighting options available, depending on the needs of the consumer. Lights offered include: an LED light bar, two or four halogen lamps, two or four HID lamps, or a combination of two halogen and two HID lamps.

The Can-Am Commander is a rugged side-by-side that can be used in any situation. BRP has made it possible for consumers to customize their Commander to fit their own individual needs, and only pay for what they need.
