With the announcement of the Nokia N8 phone, the company really expect to overcome their disappointment while rolling out the N97 for smartphone market. Admittedly, Nokia lagged behind the market compared with their contenders like BlackBerry and iPhone several years ago. With the release of the Nokia N8 flagship phone, we expect that it fulfill the hope? Let's check the most important features of the N8 specially its camera and its operating system.

The N8 phone was rolled out with the Symbian 3 operating system that is the first in line of the Symbian 3 phone to day. Compared to the preceding OS, the Symbian 3 offers some improvements like multi-touch zoom support in the browser, email and photo gallery, a faster performance from application to application and disposal double tap option. Unluckily, the critics still depressingly answer this OS due to the unsuccessful N97 Symbian smartphone. They said that Symbian was Okay for some years before and for now it is outdated.

How about a carl zeiss 12 mp camera with Xenon flash on the back of the Nokia N8 phone? With that high resolution, the N8 is estimated to present better pictures like a digital camera but sadly, the pictures can not lie and tell the honesty. If we speak about the picture quality, it is not only about the pixel. So the higher pixel doesn't guarantee that better result as there is algorithm to mix for the greatest photo quality. For the picture quality, the Nokia's 12 megaixel camera is not superior than other smartphones' 5 megapixel camera like the Samsung Wave's.

Though both features are the most important features of the cell phones that fans actually require to recognize, it is certainly not fair to conclude the cell phone from merely two features: its camera and its operating system. There are some other advanced features and factors in one package to make the cell phone to be easily seen above among others. Subsequently, we still beleive that there is a good prospect for the Nokia N8 to contend other smartphones and draw the people's attention in the face of the firm smartphone rivalry.
