One day after being involved with online dating, a shy person may actually want a face to face relationship because they were able to break out of their protective "wall" behind a computer screen.

Even a shy person eventually needs, and wants, to see others face to face. But with online dating, it may be the only way for a shy person to get to know the other person and then be able to talk to them face to face or over the phone.
