A healthy, low GI diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish and seafood reduced acne significantly 3. The young men in the study group who stuck to a healthy diet had 50% less acne over the 12 week period and their self-esteem and sense of wellbeing improved The right diet is only one of the steps needed to cure adult acne in a natural way. The formation and cure of acne are complex issues but, for most sufferers, the existing pharmaceutical treatments do not give long-lasting relief. They do not approach the problem in a holistic way.
