There are some patients who will report feeling drowsy or even dizzy, but these side effects will usually subside once their body gets used to the medication. If the symptoms are not too bothersome, then try to continue the medication for at least two weeks. It is a difficult decision whether or not to put your child on medication. It is very important to keep a seizure diary of all symptoms and seizures for your doctor to keep on file.
