. The second runway at the Cancun International Airport has been completed and will soon be in use. This important infrastructure project was undertaken with an invested $67 million USD, and includes a runway, a control tower and a bridge connector, which will increase airport capacity to 28 million passengers.

To celebrate the opening of the new runway, a 5 and 10 km race is planned for October 10, at 7:00 o'clock in the morning. The Cancun International Airport is inviting two thousand runners to perform a special route directly on the new runway, which is, of course, in perfect condition and is 100% percent flat.
