The use of Rimadyl for dogs has been around for a while now

. When you realize the Glucosamine and Chondroitin tablets just aren't doing enough to relieve your dog's joint pain, Rimadyl for dogs is the next step. The tablets contain the drug Carprofen; which is a non-steriod, anti-inflammatory treatment that was once used in humans before other alternatives were developed. Methods of Administration

How it Works

The way Rimadyl works is very simple: It reduces the production of cyclooxygenase in both humans and animals. Cyclooxygenase is responsible for inflammation in joints. The only reason production of this drug for humans was ceased was because cheaper alternatives were developed that aren't suitable for canines.
