Canon Launches a Wide Format Printer in PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II
Canon is just not the leader in photo printers for home segments
, but also covers professional printing segment. Their latest wide format printer, Pixma Pro9500 Mark II is the work of perfection and boasts of delivering quality in a highly professional fashion.
Wide format printers are generally employed in printing out banners and other forms of advertising materials. This printer can handle a size up to 13" X 19", which should be ideal for printers.
The Pixma Pro9500 uses ten colour pigment LUCIA ink system. Monochrome prints are especially powered with inks consisting of gray, black and matte black. The output as claimed is unrivaled in the market, and produces the most natural gray shades, for perfection to be achieved. When used on Canon's very own Fine Art Photo Paper, they ensure that prints will last for a very long time, and the colours would expend with natural beauty.
Maximum print resolution for both monochrome and colour prints is at 4800 x 2400 dpi. Around 7680 nozzles make this resolution possible. A 8" x 10" borderless colour photo takes 4 minutes and 5 seconds while a 11" x 14" photograph on 13" x 19" paper consumes 7 minutes 55 seconds.
Connections to this printer is through USB 2.0 and PictBridge. The obvious absence of Ethernet connectivity is appalling and I can't decipher what the designers are going through.
This professional wide format printer is available for purchase and costs around 600. By default, the Canon Pixma Pro9500 Mark II printer comes with 1 year limited warranty and toll free telephone telephone support.
