If it is very sunny and warm don't leave them in the car for more than 15 minutes as parked vehicles can get unbearably hot very quickly. Your dog should wear a collar at all times which features the full owner details. This is very important on a long trip just in case anything should happen and you were to be separated. A microchip is also a good idea for additional security.
