Car Grooming After A Strenuous Road Trip

Hunting is a popular activity these days and can get a group of males out of our hair for a weekend here and there

. It really is a win-win situation don't you think? The men are out of the house so us ladies can either relax with a good book or go hang out with our girlfriends, while the men get to shoot animals, have some drinks and exert their testosterone away from us. See, win-win. It really is a nice feeling to have the house to ourselves for a day or two every now and then and when the men come back they are happy and excited about what they caught on the trip; or they have stories about how they almost caught something. There is one thing that can turn this happy feeling upside down however; the state of the vehicle your partner took for the trip. Car grooming would have gone out the window on their weekend trip and you can bet that he will be in no mood to clean that vehicle whatsoever.

How characteristic is this? He gets to go away for the weekend, in all probability did not clean the car in the first place and then when he comes back the car/Ute looks like a complete wreck and he has no intention to clean it. Yep, you are left with the mess, and what a mess it will be. Have you ever seen a man's vehicle after a hunting weekend? It is a sight to see indeed and no one can genuinely imagine it until it is staring them right in the face. Where to begin is an intense effort in itself, your eyes will boggle at the feat he has left you, and your nostrils will never, ever recover from the smell coming from all areas of the vehicle. This is no hyperbole at all, it is like this and you will never forget the hours of cleaning that is upon you.

Naturally where they hunted was nowhere near a made-up road, so the vehicle has been off-roading for two days ( and if the vehicle wasn't made for it you are in trouble). There will be so much mud and dirt engrafted in those tyres that you will give up on cleaning them right away. The mud flaps and under the car will be just as bad, maybe even worse and will command your full attention. There will be mud and who knows what else on the window screen and wing mirrors and the window wipers would have turned a different color to what you remember them being. Yes, the outside of the car will be horrifying, but that is nothing compared to what you are going to see inside.

The inside of the car will in all likelihood be all your worst nightmares coming to life. Spillage of unknown lineage will be everywhere and the smell that comes wafting from the fabric will likely make you gag. Feathers will be where they should not be and mud and grease would have been trekked through the full vehicle and up on the seats. You will never want him to go hunting again.

Our cars get pretty muddy when our mates go away hunting and when they come back car grooming will be the furthermost thing from your mind. Next time make a point you organize someone else to come that day and get the job done with the right equipment to make sure everything gets cleaned the right way.
