The cars interior is something that is often ignored by so-called car enthusiasts

. While it is important to keep your car looking good externally, keeping its interiors clean is also essential. You dont have to spend an extra cash just to have your cars interiors cleaned. All you have to do is take out your car cleaning tools and follow this car interior cleaning and maintenance guide.

If you have a vacuum cleaner intended for cleaning car interiors, use it to vacuum the seats and the floor under them. Remove the mats used to cover the floor first and vacuum both seats in front and at the back, paying special attention to the area below the pedals. The dashboard should be vacuumed as well, only this time using the brush accessory of the gadget. The floor mats and carpet should be cleaned afterwards and separately.

After cleaning the floors, proceed to removing stain from the fabric and the door upholstery. You can use either a branded cleaning agent or you can make your own by mixing laundry soap with warm water. When using the branded cleaning agent, simply spray it on the area that you wish to clean and wipe it with a cloth. Do the same thing when using your homemade cleaning solution.

Youll need to take time with the dashboard as it is the most visible part inside the car. Take care of the areas made of plastic first by using a damp cloth to wipe any stain off. Once they are dry, polish them with a dashboard polisher to give them a shiny appearance. For maintaining this shiny look however, you will need to constantly brush it with a duster.

Since bad odor is a common problem with any cars interior, make sure you check your air conditioning for any clogs in the air vent. When dirt accumulates on the vent, bacteria can grow there and that can result to a foul odor entering your air condition system. Eliminate this problem by spraying the vent with an odor treatment spray. Most importantly, have your air conditioning checked from time to time to make sure its functioning properly.

Aside from health reasons, you should also keep your car looking and running at maximum performance so that anytime you decide to sell it, it could still easily attract buyers. Otherwise, by having it maintained both inside and out, you can be certain to benefit from its services for a very long time.
