Car care during monsoons in India
In India car care during monsoons is necessary, as rains might cause major damage to the color and engine of the car. Protecting your car with right chemicals like coating etc are essential. Rust and other type of engine damage can spoil the performance of the car so necessary precaution is needed like painting the rusted area with a rust free coat. With the use of developed technology maintaining your car is required. You need not waste each and every day for maintaining your car. Small tips are present which can bring your car shine back just the way it was when you got it from the showroom. You also need to keep it clean and serviced for high end out put.
Servicing on the calendar list
Regular servicing of your car is all you need to keep it juiced up. If a servicing is due then it's better off at the garage. Delaying the servicing will increase the problem and running of engine will be in overused oil. It can damage the engine when it's running red line. You can try synthetic oil in the car which can deliver top mileage. It even ensures the engine is saved from high rpm gear change. Synthetic oil protects the engine from usual wear and tear. It does have increased stamina which ensures the vehicle stays in top condition. In a regular servicing battery water is checked and added. It is necessary to protect the input and output point of the battery with petroleum jelly. Keeping the air filter clean will increase the mileage and intake capacity. Cleaning of the filter will be done in the servicing itself.
Driving on low pressure wheels
In monsoons you need to deflate the tires a bit so that it can grip the ground. When a tire is deflated it spreads wide and there is traction. If there is grip when driving on wet surface chances of tire locking and skidding are less. This term can be replicated with use of ABS. ABS works in the same pattern but ABS is safer to use. Low pressure helps the tires to grip on wet surface with added rubber on sides. If you plan to turn a car at high speed the car will grip since its spread wide on the ground.
Keeping it polished and tuned
There are different types of wax polishes available in the market which can be selected to keep the car body smooth and out of water. Dry and wet polishes are available which can be applied to the car body. Dry polish needs to be rubbed on the body till it melts in the color. Wet polish needs to be applied till it dries off on the body panels. Once the polish has covered all panels it will give a glossy shine. In heavy rains it will ward off water droplets from setting on the body panels. It even avoids panel rusting.
These are some of the tips that can be used for protecting your car from heavy monsoon in India. Always wear your seat belts and ensure they are under tension all the time. Emergency lights should be on while driving in heavy rain.
