Cardio Workout Dvds To Complement Your Fitness Program
One of the keys to staying motivated long-term is to do workouts that you enjoy
. Cardio exercise is the most effective way to burn calories and lose weight. Examples include jogging, aerobics, dancing, interval training, playing sports, and so on. Most fitness gyms offer various classes that emphasize cardio training.
Not everyone however finds a fitness gym membership to be an attractive option. There are quite a few people who simply find it difficult to make it to the gym because of a busy work schedule. A more practical option is to watch cardio workout DVDs from their home. Whether they want exercise first thing in the morning or right before going to sleep, they have cardio workout DVDs at their disposal. Here are a few DVDs to consider:
Fitness 360 by Holly Perkins. This DVD is broken down into three separate workouts: cardio, total tone, and yoga energizer. The cardio and tone workouts are 20 minutes a piece, and the yoga one is 10 minutes. This DVD is ideal for beginner and intermediate fitness levels. Holly is one of my favorite instructors. She explains each move very clearly and concisely. I also like how the DVD comes with 3 separate workouts. You can actually do all three in one session if you want a complete workout, or do them separately.
10 Pound Slimdown by Chris Freytag. This DVD includes five 20-minute workouts that give you a total body workout. The workouts include upper body, lower body, power yoga, core, and total body. The best way to lose weight is to exercise as many muscle groups as possible during a workout. That's what gets your heart rate up into the target zone, and ultimately that is what burns calories. This DVD is the completely package because it addresses cardio, strength, and flexibility.
All Jilian Michaels' DVDs. I have worked out to many exercise DVDs, but Jilian's are by far the most intense. I don't know that I would recommend her material for beginners, but it's perfect for those who really want to take the next step in their fitness. Her videos will help you lose that last 10-15 pounds that your looking for. Her 6-pack abs video and the 30 day shred are the two I have done personally. I can tell you that both helped me re-shape my body dramatically.
Amazon.com has the best collection of fitness DVDs out there. What's great about them is that they typically have the lowest prices as well.
