Carpad Or Divorce -- Which Is Cheaper?
Are you in trouble with your wife on your return from a trip in the car
? Are you leaving a nasty trail from the garage into the house and onto the carpet? Be careful that this does not result in an expensive divorce and think about what you are doing. By following the trail of footprints out to the garage, you can see that you are picking up all the mess that has fallen off your car when you return from a trip in the rain. It's time for a carpad to take care of this.
A garage floor mat, or a carpad will absorb everything that your indoor carpet is not meant to do. In other words, any noxious mess that splashes up from our lovely, clean roads. All kinds of grime, oil and grease can be contained in this mess, which mixes with the rainwater to stick to the underside of your car, until you get home.
In the car of the future, designers will undoubtedly implement some kind of repellent, so that when we return from a trip in the rain, the car will be as dry as a bone. Until that time, we need a garage floor mat or carpad to catch all the damage. It's far cheaper than the divorce!
Nobody wants to drop everything and mop up in the garage when we return from a wet trip, so we are either going to have to be lucky or have a plan to avoid damaging anything that you have stored in that room. Just think where all that slushy mess gets to, otherwise.
Those garage builders are very accommodating, aren't they? They always leave a lot of space for us to store all of our "valuable" stuff which we are either too embarrassed to have inside the house, or simply will not fit. Rainwater and flimsy boxes don't get on well together.
Polypropylene is a very highly absorbent material and you should look for this when you are buying your carpad. This will absorb gallons of liquid and will also have an impenetrable vinyl bottom layer. Not only will this prevent leakage, but will also help you to avoid slipping on a wet floor.
People often wonder what happens to all of that stuff falls from beneath your car and is caught by your new carpad. Well, you don't need to worry about it because the moisture would simply evaporate over time and you can take a good vacuum cleaner and get rid of all the dry grit that has accumulated. Alternatively, you can always use a wet vac if you are impatient!
Just because the garage is mostly "out of sight and out of mind," it does not mean that you should be embarrassed to show it to anybody. Make sure it is in good condition and that you keep it in good shape by investing in a good carpad or two for your vehicles.
