Get a traffic line cleaner and spray heavily the soiled areas with the cleaner. Increase the amount of cleaner for the areas that are very dirty. But make sure not to increase the amount of carpet shampoo.

Now will the reservoir of the machine with hot tap water.

Now use carpet shampoo to clean the carpet. Off course you will need the machine for maximum result. Follow the manufacturers instruction to get the best result.

It is time to remove excess water from the carpet. Use a water extraction pass to soak away water. Test the carpet with your hands. If you find water droplets on the carpet then you will have to extract water again. When the carpet feels wrung out, it means that water has been extracted completely.

Dont walk on a damp carpet. You should give it some time to try. A heavy carpet needs you to wait overnight to find it dried out fully. You can either place the carpet outside in the sun or dry it indoor using fan.
