Carpet Flooring 101

Carpet Flooring 101

When it comes to flooring, I would say that the best kind would be carpet flooring. My living room has been transformed into something warmer and friendlier because of my carpet. My kids also love the carpet because of how comfortable it is to walk on.Cleaning is also not a problem anymore because of my carpet flooring's stain protection. It is absolutely the greatest factor of my carpet. I hate scrubbing goo on my carpet just for the sake of not having a stain. At first I was considering to just put an area rug on the living room, but I thought, since my kids love running back in forth in our living room, I knew I had to try carpet flooring. From that day I have this decided to have it on my floor until today, I have never felt so comfortable in my own living room.So what are the different carpet types?Make sure that before you decide to have carpet flooring in your home, you should be aware of the different kinds of carpet.OLEFIN - This is the kind of carpet that I really like. When my baby girl tripped and her sippy cup of water fell on the carpet, I was surprised to see how easily it could dry up! Also, molds do not grow. I love the fact that it doesn't wear off that easily and it is very light!POLYESTER- It is like olefin but it is not the same in weight, olefin is lighter. Although this material is easier to clean and is much more resistant to wear off.ACRYLIC-Also the same with Olefin and Polyester when it comes to certain things like drying up easily, resistant to molds and stains and wearing off is not easy. However this has more flexible aesthetics when it comes to wool, cotton or both!NYLON-This carpet material is very sturdy and very soft. However it has the same resistance like the others but it cannot quite absorb moisture.WOOL-This material is indeed very sturdy and wearing off is really impossible. The difference of wool among all the types is that it is fire resistant and it feels warm on your feet. However, it is still the same with others when it comes to convenience in cleaning. So you know your different types already. Next, you would have to learn about the various construction kings of carpet flooring piles. These piles are used to have different styles in your carpet and for it to have more texture.TEXTURED-This kind is twisted to have that kooky carpet flooring design. The twists could also make the wearing off impossible.CUT PILE-This kind does not have any loop or twists, it just has a flat and simple finish. The fiber and the twists used in this pile make the quality of the carpet flooring even nicer.MULTILEVEL LOOP-The loops are done in various heights. This makes the carpet flooring even more interesting because of its design.LEVEL LOOP-This is the opposite of the multilevel loop for instead of having the loops at various heights, this kind has loops of the same height. Carpet flooring is just simply divine! I can say that my home is much better with my carpet. I don't know about you, but next time that I need to fix my floor, I'll definitely have carpet flooring!
