Carrie Underwood Tickets -carrie Underwood Takes On First Movie Role

Carrie Underwood may be just settling into her new role as wife to hockey star Mike Fisher

, but she may have to adjust to another new title soon: movie star. Billboard.com reports that the country singer assumed her role in the upcoming movie Soul Surfer would be a one-time thing - until she saw a screening, that is. "I really liked how everything turned out, including myself. I was really expecting the worst from myself, and I really surprised myself," Underwood told Billboard.com. Her fans likely aren't surprised!

In Soul Surfer, which is based on the story of young surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack, Underwood plays a youth counselor. The Grammy winner told Billboard.com, "It's definitely an uplifting movie. Everybody would definitely feel a lot better coming out than they did coming in." Country music fans don't have to worry about Carrie giving up music for movies, though, as she told Billboard.com, "I'm definitely new at this and just doing what's fun right now, and I love my music; that's my first love."

Music certainly has Carrie busy enough for now, as the second stage of her Play On Tour begins in Portland, Ore. on Sept. 25. Carrie Underwood tickets are available to see her perform until December. The trek is her first since marrying Fisher this summer but she told Billboard.com that the timing works out for the couple saying, "It's kind of like my season, my tour, starts the same time his season does. It will definitely be a challenge but we love each other and we love what we do, so there's no reason we can't have it all."

Underwood's Play On Tour is sponsored by Olay. The sponsorship is fitting, as Carrie is slated to represent Olay's new campaign, "Challenge What's Possible." CMT.com quotes the singer as gushing, "I am so excited to be associated with a beauty brand that has been trusted by women for more than 50 years. I love that Olay has managed to change with the times, yet stay in touch with women of all ages who want affordable skin care products that do what they promise."

In addition to touring this fall, Underwood will once again host the Country Music Association Awards with Brad Paisley. The 2010 CMA Awards will be held in the country music capital of Nashville, Tenn. on Nov. 10 and it will be Carrie's third time hosting the show with Brad Paisley. Underwood is nominated in the Female Vocalist and Album of the Year (for her album Play On) categories-but the 27-year-old isn't in the running for Entertainer of the Year, even though her fans wish she were!

"I'd like to see that, too. I'm not going to lie," Underwood told Billboard.com, adding, "Every single year it's all about celebrating a great year in country music because every single year it just gets better and better and stronger and stronger. I'm excited about my nominations and I think it's going to be a good night for a lot of people."
