Cash In On India - The World's Fastest Growing Economy
Why are so many investors getting in line to invest in India
? Let's look at just a few of the reasons.
The World Bank predicted that India will overtake China next year (2010) as the world's fastest growing economy! Recently the World Bank initiated a $4.2 billion funding program for infrastructure in India.
The country also enjoys record profits for it's companies, and foreign investment has gone through the roof!
As Wall Street celebrated a 63% rise for the S&P 500 from March of 09 to December, this country's stocks were up 147%! Many of these companies are listed in New York and London making it easier for us in the West to play them (more on this in a moment).
Why such upside potential for a country that has been fairly dormant for decades?
Truly extraordinary growth has come from newly growing economies like India. It has happened in many similar situations before in places like China (which has been basically growing into a powerhouse for the last 30 years), and the Czech Republic, to name just a couple.
When economies which have been held back do begin to show signs of life, investors take notice. You don't have to be a Wall Street wizard to pick winners. Economies like that still need basic economic development, so "basic" companies flourish. Regular infrastructure and major industry businesses can grow 100 fold in these kinds of environments!
