How to purchase cast iron flange in China? Cast iron flange means the flange plate made by cast iron
. Actually, not all flanges were made by cast iron, many flanges were made by forged steel.
Dandong Foundry has made some cast iron flanges to Japan. Some were made by grey iron, and some by ductile iron. Cast iron flanges are not difficult to produce comparing with other more complex iron castings, but when you purchase them in China, you still need to notice some aspects.
First, as always, material is very important. The foundries should can do the tensile strength test in house. Second, there is no obvious surface and inside defects. Third, the dimensions have to be kept, especially for flatness. You could require the suppliers to rectify the flatness.
